Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Yoshko is a rather friendly whiptail. He loves his solitude, but still enjoys the company of others. Though he is not very good at anything else, Yoshko makes a wonderful friend. His traits are often highly desired in a companion, ones such as honesty, supportiveness, peacefulness, helpfulness, etc. Most of Yoshko's friends take advantage of him, using him for their own gain and not returning the favor in the least bit. Some are less like the majority but still have their ugly moments. Only a couple of dragons have the privilege of being on Yoshko's secret list of favorite friends, and Yoshko tries even harder than normal to make them happy. Though Yoshko loves keeping friends and nurturing friendships, he finds that mere acquaintances are the easiest to be around.
