Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zuriel is a calm, serious fellow. As a young dragon, he liked to be alone, so he made himself a burrow beneath a secluded meadow, where he thought no one would disturb him. There he lived in contentment for many years, working diligently to keep his home free of debris. One spring, when an unusual tangle of roots invaded the wall of his living room, he snipped them off without a second thought. Ten minutes later, he was visited by a very sore and disgruntled Zahrah, who informed him that he had just bitten off her appendages. In spite of this rocky start, the two soon became friends. Zuriel found that he enjoyed the company, and helped dig a new cave for Zahrah and her clan. One day, a territorial spat between Zahrah and Hai-Wang Riverfall led to the accidental flooding of Zuriel's cave. He nearly drowned, but Zahrah saved him. It was then that she realized she loved him, and asked him to stay by her side as her mate. Afterward Zuriel rebuilt his burrow and joined it to hers.
