Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jalsoba Bookwyrm is working on making books and scrolls more portable. Miniaturizing them works, but beyond a certain size small print and fragile pages make for unreadable books. Abridgement is not to be considered except under very specific circumstances. Jalsoba would like to create something like a memory crystal, only for the written word instead of the spoken word, but can't figure out how to get the pages into the crystal.
