Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Equipped with both brilliant wit and plenty of down to earth cleverness, Scribemark had for years dreamed of someday inheriting her father's position as local judge. It only seemed reasonable, after all, to put her mind to good use securing justice for others, and so that end she redoubled her already considerable studious efforts, draining book after book about law, psychology, history, anything and everything that could be of use in the field.

It was somewhere along the way that she became thoroughly disgusted with everybody. The same crimes committed today were committed millennia ago. People and dragons cheated, stole, killed, and never learned a bloody thing. Thus it was to her father and friends' great surprise that she renounced her inheritance, instead becoming a hermit of the woods who aids only those few souls she deems truly worthy of it.
