Fire Gem Dragons are a colorful, flamboyant breed often found in hot climates, particularly around active volcanoes. Their broad tails store the flames they breathe, which are colored by the heavy amount of minerals in the water they drink. These dragons come in a variety of colors, and will collect shiny trinkets and stones that match their own coloration. Despite their hoarding tendencies, though, Fire Gem dragons are social and will often congregate in groups and show off their collections while fawning over the stones their friends and rivals have gathered, occasionally arranging trades.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

J'Quega has a considerable unhealthy obsession over opals. He'll stay underground in steep holes he's dug and will barely come up for air until he sees that telltale glint of a pearly blue or green stone in the ground, then he will madly scratch and claw at the hard earth until he surfaced the precious stone. He takes care to avoid breaking the opals he digs up. He also starves and dehydrates himself by devoting his time to mining these gemstones. When he does get a reasonable amount, he would often trade some of it for turquoise.

Occasionally, he would be lucky enough to find some opalized wood. He treasures petrified wood as much as opal, so this is like hitting the jackpot for him.

He barely trades his coveted treasures, as he likes to try to see though them and hold them up against the sunlight to see their dazzling colors.
