Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.
And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

You walk into a small cave, and see a small blue dragon curled up in the back. It shakes itself, and look curiously at you. It's very cute. It seems friendly, but you keep your distance from it just in case. It cautiously approaches you, and starts to purr! It must like you a lot!
