Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kris is one of the elusive Christmas dragons. He takes great pride in knowing how rare and special he is. When he visits a Cave, the other dragons become excited to see him since, not only does he represent the start of the Christmas season, he is the most special of all the breeds of Christmas dragons that could visit the Cave. However, it should be known that Kris has a slightly inflated ego, as Kris' sister is quick to remind him. Kris is never mean about his special heritage, he just sometimes gets a little stuck on himself and needs a swift kick to remind him that his job is to make other dragons happy, not to be fawned on by the rest of the Cave.
