Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It gives off an alluring scent that attracts other dragons.

And look! Chocolate-brown fins have grown on its back and tail, and the scent is much stronger now.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lil' Truffeau does his best to help Choc Pheromon to partner up the dragons of Herk's clan. He carries messages, uses his hatchling charms to convince stubborn dragons to give a possible partner a chance and does his best to keep Choc from despairing on the days when everything seems to become too much.

Since he is a hatchling and his pheromone glands aren't fully developed he can even go near Rose Nylund and Brunhilda, who—both for their own reasons—avoid Choc's company.

Truffeau is proud of his vital role in the clan's mating processes and spends his little free time with Rosie and Pelardon—resulting in a quite unique combination of odours.
