Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While rather small and quite the shy dragon, Sebastian has been told from the day of his hatching that he was to grow into a hero, a powerful dragon who welded the stars and magics that his soon-to-be friends would give to him. The Avatars who live in the area around him speak of prophecies that include him and how many would come to love his deeds and actions.

Of course, this is quite a lot to be putting upon a fairly common breed fellow who never looked at himself as much of anything. The Albino is not incredibly intelligent and cannot fly for very long, his stamina is low and laughable compared to other dragons. His telepathic voice stutters and sometimes stops in the middle of a sentence, leaving his audience hanging until he can get enough confidence to continue. He constantly fears offending others and tries to keep his opinions to himself.

Sebastian sometimes thinks that there was a fluke and the true dragon of prophecy got lost far, far away.
