It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Preapu is a very shy Purple dragon; often hiding from anything that he considers a threat, which is quite a lot of animals and people. The animals that he is frightened of, like the deer that sometimes pass by his home, won't do anything to him, but Preapu doesn't know this and so hides in his cave whenever the herd passes by. Preapu is trying to get over his fears, and so far has managed to get used to the hawks that he use to be so terrified of that he wouldn't go out flying if they were near him. Preapu is a very good flyer and will often be seen soaring higher than most dragons dare to go. Preapu does this because he can then drop to earthward like a rock, only pulling up at the last second with rapid flaps of his large purple wings. His whiskers often get tangled around his feet, and so it is a miracle if Preapu doesn't trip at least once a day.
