Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Pale Pallet the frozen albino has the mind of an adult, but the body of a hatchling. As such, he doesn't partake in other, more draconic activities, but enjoys the subtle art of painting. His tiny paws allow him to manipulate the brush in ways the paws of heavier dragons cannot. This has gained him respect where maybe other frozen hatchlings have little or none, considered strange freaks. Pale Pallet, for all his respect, however, wishes he were big. There is nothing to be done about this, and many different treatments have been tried. Operating by the phrase, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, Pale Pallet just gets on with his small and talented life.
