Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In the past Katorz was a young, short-tempered Gray dragon. Very stubborn, and just about the only dragon that could control him was Ederra, his childhood sweetheart. Katorz considered himself the main male, as he was the first dragon to mature into adulthood and he founded his Clan. As he aged past his prime, his feeling of vulnerability increased, making him feel the need to do something rebellious and unforgivable in the face of time. The result is an inability to fly and no longer being the leader of the Clan, forced to retreat to a separate lonely cave. The punishment would have been more severe had not the ever kind and forgiving Ederra tried her best to fix the problem, lessening the blow on Katorz. Despite this, he has been driven somewhat insane and Katorz now spends his time raging on to Ederra about the injustice of it all.
