Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cresselia's best friend is Wish, who has a good chance of becoming the herd leader, next to Nerise. Cresselia has bred with Amphoros, though she knows her best friend does not take an interest in breeding. Like her friend, she was found as an abandoned hatchling and raised from there. She is not very strong and sometimes relies on Amphoros when hunting or fighting, which can make her feel nervous. But once she's with Amphoros, talking and playing together, she feels like a daydream dragon floating on a cloud! But she also has fun with the other dragons, though sometimes when Amphoros is around, she gets caught up with him and ends up ignoring other dragons.
