Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ahrimani is a fatherly dragon, a disposition that goes well with his mate's. He can often be seen romping about with the hatchlings and young adults, pulling their legs and telling them scary stories. He has gotten into trouble more than once for unwittingly encouraging the young ones to pull dangerous stunts (although to be fair, he usually manages to get them out of it). Many a dragon has been convinced by the tricky red to eat an incredibly spicy food of some sort ("If you do, you'll be able to breathe fire like me! Just you see if I'm wrong!"). Ahrimani makes the effort whenever possible to get his reclusive firstborn son to make friends. He is known for having very keen eyes, able to spot nearly anything for miles.
