Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Powerful magi pyromancers aren't especially rare, but there are rumors of an elite group who makes even these look like amateurs: the dragons of Fireflood Weyr. Located in the side of an active volcano and protected by numerous guards and spells, the weyr is only open to those with enough fire magic to overcome the challenges presented by the weyr's leaders.

Jerlu is the second challenger—to pass her trial, dragons must navigate through the ever-shifting clouds of fire she conjures without being singed. Imaginative and cheerful, she is the weyr's Secondary because her creativity keeps Fireflood from stagnating and she provides a counterpoint to Thariven's calm rationality.  While bubbly and a little flighty, she is hardly a pushover, as numerous candidates have discovered after begging her for mercy.
