Lalopias Leviathans thrive in the heat and are even capable of swimming through lava. Their bodies can burn hot enough to melt through rock, which they will make use of to “swim” through the earth until they reach a body of water to hunt in. These dragons can control how much heat they give off, so the water they swim in could be pleasantly warm or boiling hot depending on if they consider you friend, foe, or food. Adults will lay eggs near volcanos where the ground and water is well heated, as the hatchlings are unable to generate much heat when they are first born and require warmth to survive. Lalopias Leviathans are capable of entering a state of torpor when they get too cold, allowing them to conserve their energy until the temperature warms up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation.
