Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Katsuro and Ayame were enjoying a romantic stroll along the coast, when suddenly they saw something very out of place. Wedged between two rocks, and cradled in some seaweed, was a beautiful little sunset egg. They were worried that the water may have killed the baby inside, but they brought it home, and cared for it. Soon enough, a beautiful and healthy baby emerged. They named him Banshou, which means "Gift" in Japanese, since he was their gift from the sea. Banshou has always been a curious and adventurous dragon; who loves to fly out over the sea and enjoy it's beauty. He's always been drawn to the ocean. The only thing that he loves more is his mate, Jin. Banshou was flying over the ocean, when suddenly a terrible fog rolled in, and a terrible storm began brewing. It was Jin's light from the lighthouse that led him safely back home. She saved his life, and later stole his heart. They love each other so much, and love nothing more than cuddling together in the lighthouse.
