Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Love fades.

He was well aware of this. When he fell prey to the same abject misery as his father--the loss of the one he loved--it faded. He did not lose her to illness or violence, but to another male, fancier and bolder and more catching in her eyes. It made him scream, days spent in the frenzied agony of denial, love snapping his heart in two--

--And then fading.

It faded. All his love faded. When the last tear left him he stared out at the world with dull eyes, accepting that his eternity would be spent quite in isolation.

That was when SHE came along.

A rosebud dragon, feisty and affectionate, cheering up everyone around her and doing her utmost to put all wrongs to right. She caught his eye and lifted his spirits, but still he hesitates--balks in fear as she steals ever more of his heart, afraid the same fire that could bring him to life again could also roast him right to death.
