Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Monochrome used to be the average Gray dragon, hot-headed and easy to anger, when he was a hatchling. Then he became best friends with a Mistletoe hatchling. They were complete opposites, but he had a twinge of hope that she would like him as more than a friend. She did, and the Gray dragon learned that he would have to adapt. He was much older than the Mistletoe hatchling. He knew that he would have to wait to make her his mate. He understood. Monochrome wanted to change his ways and make sure that Winter would like him forever. Even though he was still generally hot headed and ill tempered, around her, he became the considerate and friendly Gray dragon that she loved.
