When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tatsu no Otoshigo is one of the most gentle and loving creatures of the deep. Often mistaken for the "Loch Ness Monster," it is unsurprising to see her swimming about in foreign waters far away from the shores of her native China. She is a vegetarian, feeding only on the moss that grows on the bottom of lakes, never chasing or devouring any marine life.

She can be seen swimming along side whole schools of fish just flitting back and forth across the ocean blue. Truly a sweet and loving creature, Tatsu no Otoshigo, embodies all that is maternal and loving in her species. Many newborn fish will flock to her for protection knowing, instinctively, that no harm will come to them as long as they are with her. A sweeter dragon you will not find in the ocean deep.
