Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Coming from the same batch of eggs as Irahs, Xavianra is considered to be the sister of the infamous Irah. Nothing like Irah, Xavianra is the exact opposite. Shes docile and doesn't fight and she's very compassionate towards her clan-mates and the newest hatchlings. She always tends to the hatchlings and the wounded, helping them heal and helping the hatchlings learn how to hone their skills in the dark. Her biggest and most important role in the clan is to care for any transformed eggs and watch over them until they hatch. This job requires her and a few others to stay in the latest area of the clan until all eggs have hatched, even if it means staying put for days, weeks, or even months while the clan moves many miles away. Even if Irah doesn't show any concern towards her sister, Xavianra will still show compassion and will always stick up for her bitter and disrespecting sister, and because the clan loves Xavianra they put up with Irah.
