Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Christmas Phantom lives around a remote dragon cave with a Clan that hates stories. The first night he started appearing, they started up a legend about him, though. Supposedly he has actual dragon wings, and looks more draconic that he actually does. He has confronted a dragon once, and it was a young one, who discovered that he cannot talk. But every Christmas he'll appear around their cave, and sometimes they can see him when they're hunting in winter. Once a dragon tried to catch him when spotting the Candycane dragon on a hunt and he disappeared right when he was supposed to catch him. No one messes with him, because they are afraid of him, but the truth is, he is just as delicate as a deer, he just has a very weak brand of magic, sharp talons and beak, and a habit of acting mysterious.
