As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Darkest Hour is a temperamental dragon. The only other dragon in the clan that understands him is his mate, Eternal Darkness. Darkest Hour has no friends because of his shy and reserved nature. Oh, and the fact that he has a very nasty attitude doesn't help with the friend issue either.

Darkest Hour and his mate have been trying to start a family but they have had very little luck. So for now they tend to the frozen hatchlings, but sometimes they can be very mean towards them. They are hoping to start a family very soon.
