Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Reindeer Noel wishes he could fly along and pull a sleigh like the older dragons of his kind, but alas he was caught in an ice storm as a young hatchling and to save his life, he had to be magically frozen to avoid being frozen into a block of solid ice. He is therefore named for the other sort of magical creatures that pull a sleigh. He will however pull things around in a cart his size, but such a cart is far too small for a human, big enough only for pygmy dragons and other hatchlings or perhaps mints as well.
