Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dibh Ridire is the black knight. Being centuries younger than the black females in the cave, he constantly thrives to prove himself as a warrior to his more experienced fellows. He visits castles and landlords all over the country, deflecting the arrows of the defenders by magic, then landing on the highest tower to submit a challenge for tournament. In battle with humans, he never uses his magic, to give them the illusion of standing a chance and to make himself a reputation as an honorable combatant. He keeps and hoards the weapons and armor of his defeated opponents, always keeping them  sharp and shiny.

He even once abducted a human maiden, to attract new foes-but she wasn't a noble, so that plan failed, cause nobody missed her enough to go against a dragon.

Instead, he got a scalding lecture from the other dragons for endangering the cave.
