Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born on an inhospitable island of volcanoes and glaciers that could not provide food for even a small colony of dragons, this Ice dragon had no choice but to find a new home as soon as she grew her wings. Forced to cross the bitter seas in search of a new territory Innis Tile managed to battle her way south, only to land in the mountainous territory of defensive Silvers and Golds. Fleeing higher and higher up into the Highlands, she reached the snowy peaks of Alba before collapsing with exhaustion. Delirious dreams confused her mind, until the smell of warm blood persuaded her to open her eyes.

Ball-sneachda, a Snow hatchling half her age, held a young rabbit under her nose and helped her to eat. Innis Tile had managed to reach a clan of pureblood Ice and Snow dragons, hostile to other species but welcoming to the young Ice dragon. Although she took the name of her icy homeland as her own, she has never left Alba or her beloved Ball-Sneachda's side since.
