Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oak Dweller's egg was found in a small dark cave in the midst of a large and thick oak forest. While growing up, Oak Dweller stayed mostly within the forest and the surrounding lakes hunting for various animals. Over the years he became a master of hunting and of stealth, and so was the greatest creature in the Great Oak Forest. Some time after he had matured, a number of livestock farms began to crop up around the outside of the Great Oak Forest, but Oak Dweller never harmed any one them. Instead he, in times of war, protects the surrounding villages, farms, and his forest against invaders and those who would destroy them.
