Tutela Cantormaris Dragons are a doting, protective breed of coastal-dwellers. Their annual migrations at the start of spring are among the first indications that winter has ended. They use their angelic calls to lure people that might need protection to them in a desire to safeguard and give strength to those in need of succor. It is considered a sign of luck for one to hear their calls.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Grannus is among the sweetest dragons in her large family. She's like a princess the way she carries herself, speaks, and acts. She has a regal bearing to her that makes it difficult not to bow anytime she shows her face. Grannus is incredibly polite. She possesses a quiet though commanding voice and a natural desire to protect those in need. She gets along best with smaller dragons that may face predation. In such cases, Grannus offers them a safe haven under her wings where nothing dangerous can get to them. Though a protector, Grannus does not usually solve her problems with violence. She prefers to talk it out with whatever threat may come her way and come to an agreement with them. Often times, it's quite effective. Grannus is very attuned to the emotions of others and can find ways to compromise around such emotions. She's not always the best at playing diplomat, though. There have been times where she's needed to reluctantly draw and claw to defend both her charge and herself.
