Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fairy Lights is one of only two wild-born Solstices at the Breedery. She and her sister Iceflower were found during the Winter of Wishes—a time when, suddenly, dragonmasters began to find the eggs of many species of holiday dragon that had seemed extinct in the wild. For years, the eggs of these dragons had been available only from captive breeding. Lurhstaap was delighted to find them at last. With their branching golden horns and sunset-kissed wings, the Solstice sisters are a stunning vision—the prettiest winter twilight come alive in dragon form.

Of the two, Fairy Lights is more active and outspoken. She is fond of the two wild-born Snows, Bauble and Ornament, and loves using her magic to help them decorate the Breedery for the holidays, conjuring tasty treats (especially press cookies) and hovering dragon-mugs of hot cocoa for herself and her friends. She also does this to cheer up anyone she sees who seems unhappy. Fairy sees the best in everyone—even the darkest souls.
