Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hyacinthumare is the queen of the Emerald Cave, a kingdom inside a cliff's cave by the sea. The Emerald Cave Kingdom consists of many coastal dragons such as Seawyrms, Skywings and Famingo Wyverns. Hyacinthumare's job is to sustain peace and happiness in the kingdom. The kingdom has no kings, since Hyacinthumare has more than one mate.

Hyacinthumare is a fair leader but has done some dark deeds such as sabotaging rival kingdoms and making risky deals with humans behind her kingdoms back, but that is in the past, and she tries to put it behind her now.
