Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Female Speckle-Throats are slightly smaller than males and lack a head crest. However, they are swifter and more agile and prefer to hunt in small groups in order to take down prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bugatti is the mellow sister of Koen. She is a grim dragon, very serious and sophisticated. Much different from her brother, who is loud, energetic, and fearless. She prefers to stop and think before she does anything and not just diving headfirst into danger. Because of this, Bugatti often chases after Koen as he leaps into danger.

A philosophical thinker and problem solver, Bugatti is considered one of the smartest dragons. She enjoys flying around the scroll, helping others with their problems, or lying in the mouth of the cave, testing herself with mind games she created. Others admire her intelligence, but as Bugatti quotes the quoted, "I know I have intelligence because I know that I know nothing."

Bugatti is also the swiftest dragon. Her body is small and sleek, allowing her to fly at break-neck speeds. The Speckle-Throat isn't always uptight; she will occasionally show off her speed and agility to anyone willing to watch. Lucky for her, not many wish to miss her aerial show.
