Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Despite being as black as outer space, it has a few bright patterns on it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Frosty was never healthy during incubation and continued to be sickly after hatching. Concerned keepers at Hilltop's Nebula Rescue Center tested the hatchling shortly after it hatched, and found that not only did it display traits of inbreeding, it was also incurably ill. In order to save its life, the hatchling was frozen and now lives out its days at the NRC with the other frozen Nebula hatchlings.
