Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Lucky Sundrop is a young and playful dragon who adores playing in the sunlight.  Typical to his breed, he loves to spend all his time in flight and adores turning in circles in the air then dive-bombing.  He loves to sing and this gives him an extra magical quality.  Humans often stop and look up at the sky, listening to the gentle cooing from above and wondering where it is emanating from.  Sundrop is very much a fan of the history of the Ancient Mayans and is one of the few members of his clan who will tolerate Oro de Mayas log talks about Sunstone Dragons connection to them.  Sundrop is also, like the ancient Mayans, a keen astrologer and excellent mathematician and is rather preoccupied with the number 11.  He is often to be heard singing or chanting the number over and over.
