Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aurumial Metallia is a very proud and vain gold dragon.  While she's not cruel or intentionally hateful, she often views herself as royalty, or at the very least, nobility (some research into her lineage revealed that her mother holds the title of Lady).  Due to this, she's often very condescending towards not only the other dragons, but to April.  She has the nasty habit of trying to order everyone in April's caves around, like they're her servants.  She also believes that she should hold the most power in the caves, and should be the one in charge.  This leads her to frequently ignore and undermine both April's and Arctis Glacea's authority.
