Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pataxran's Dancer is descended right from the great tinsel Pataxran and wild bred flamingos. Though there are several flamingos in the cave who share his ancestor he's the one who has become obsessed with him. He even traveled to meet his ancestor once, hoping to perform for him and thank him for his bloodline. Pataxran's Dancer was rejected however, and told that Pataxran only acknowledged decedents of him if they were tinsels.

Heartbroken, Pataxran's dancer refused to dance for several months. He has once again picked up dancing, but for a new purpose this time. He still plans to wow his ancestor, but his plan is to instead make him come to the cave to see him perform, by being the best dancer he can be.
