Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Defteros lives close to the main caves, in a nearby volcano he claimed to himself. He's a very aggressive dragon, and always attacks anyone that approaches that isn't Ryoujin Jakka, who is the alpha male, or the human in charge. He rarely goes away from the heat of his home, even to hunt, and his favorite hobby is to throw things in the natural lava pool he lives in, mainly the remains of his meals. His other hobby is threatening every dragon he encounters, growling that he'll throw them in his volcano if they bother him. No one is sure if he has ever throw something alive in there, but everyone agrees that they don't want to be the first ones to find out.
