Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Iobbo the Obboi is perhaps best known as a fortune teller, although she seems to be equally as famous for her oddly symmetrical name. Either way, she has developed a local following around her clan's territory, and dragons often come to her for advice and predictions of the future. This has caused some conflict with older fortune tellers of the clan, such as Magistra Solistrae, who is among the oldest and most respected sunstone dragons in the clan. In fact, some of her disciples have even accused Iobbo the Obboi of spinning false tales and predicting nonexistent fates. But despite the scandals and accusations Iobbo has been subjected to, dragons continue to trust her. Perhaps this is because she looks like she is eternally hovering over a crystal ball, much like the tail orb Magistra Solistrae gazes into all day long to spin wonderful stories of fate and fortune, love and desire, and the thrill of adventure.
