Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dialora is a playful dragon who likes nothing more than to frolic around in the snow.

She can be irresponsible at times, especially in the winter. The snow and cold temperatures seem to bring out a carefree liveliness that lies dormant in the spring and summer. Still, many older dragons call upon her to carry out tasks of some importance and consider her to be a reliable hatchling. She is very popular with the other hatchlings, and tries to be a good influence on them.

She also happens to have an infatuation with a certain young guardian hatchling...
