Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The one and only child of Ebon Bass and Mimi Capella, Emi Bass should be spoiled. Her parents seem to give into her every desire, and she almost never gets in trouble. However, Emi is somehow an adorable, sweet-natured hatchling who lightens the worlds of those around her with her chipper personality. This is believed to be because she is a Christmas dragon. She spends her time, when not chatting eagerly with another, singing Christmas carols around the cave, her favorite being Silent Night.
