Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Katsko, to everyone's shock but mostly to his parents', is neither a Skywing nor a Deep Sea, but something in between. Loving neither the incredible depths of the ocean nor the wild heights of the sky, Katsko plays in the shallows, building intricate sandcastles and marvelous sculptures. His parents worry and fret, but he loves them as much as he loves anything in his life, and he tries his best to reassure them that he is, in fact, as happy as can be right where he is.
