Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Owl had some trouble fitting in in the cave. He was raised among dragons who were bright and colorful, and he had believed he would develop color as he got older. He even looked at the dark black dragons and hoped that he'd maybe turn black, gray, or silver. But when he never developed scales, he changed his mind. He thought it was "pretty neat" that he didn't have them, and that he stuck out. He didn't mind that he was strange anymore. He turned into a very happy and confident dragon. He's also content with the fact that he can't roar, but screech—something the dragons around him aren't so fond of. He's a good soul, and helps the hatchlings and even his owner, Ross, with self esteem issues. The downside about Owl is that he has zero concept of time. When he naps in the sunshine, he can stay there for hours at a time. He spends his summer days snoozing away and never doing anything but.
