Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Gerard was a young hatchling, he would always get excited whenever he heard his (very) big sister was coming to visit. This wasn't so much because he loved her, but more because she would often bring along his nephew Graeme, who was more like a little brother.

The two of them loved to play together, and when they were old enough they started meeting each other to explore their island home. Sometimes they would use a special sign language, developed by Graeme's mother and her mute mate, when they wished to converse in secret.

They grew up becoming closer than brothers. Neither of them seek a mate, for their connection runs so deep that they couldn't bear to give up the time they spend together.

When Jast, another Frilled dragon, came to the island, his personality matched so well with theirs that the three of them are now inseperable. While during the day they muck about like young ones, when the sun sets they build a fire, and tell stories with shadow puppets for the hatchlings.
