As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Night 'n' Gale isn't like Golden Plated Rainbow, though they do look the same. Night 'n' Gale is restless and hyper, and usually doesn't just lay around like Golden does. Night flies through the air as fast as he can and catches large birds such as eagles. He doesn't hunt much, but because he is as hyper as he is, he needs to keep active. So, he flies around in the air for countless hours, and sometimes even swims. His mate, Dune Flower, constantly tries to slow him down to make him eat and enjoy the time.
