White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Susan is mostly known for being the partner of Rachel, the well-known, well-loved black dragon who speaks out every evening on the day's events from her stump podium in the forest. Susan is an artist, creating both beautiful and memorable pieces that focus on the movement of light and time. Many have wondered if she might have aeon blood in her lineage (she doesn't). Susan is also a competent cook, making tasty dishes that all the dragons enjoy. Kit has always had good words to say about Susan's awesome shepherd's pie (sometimes made from real shepherds).

Susan enjoys keeping her partner company for three activities in particular—exercising, sleeping, and fishing. Rachel says it keeps her sane; Susan says it keeps them both sane, and of course, there's always the bonus of spending time with the dragon she loves.
