Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Infinite remembers dying. He remembers being cold and alone, abandoned in a cave. Born a common breed, he was possibly thrown away and left to die of sickness for that very reason. He waited for his death. He had less than a day left, no one would be foolish enough to pick him up.

But then he felt a warm hand on his shell, followed by a sharp sting.

Infinite remembers dying. Even while still in his egg. He remembers the sharp sting of a bite, followed by coldness, then, the warmest heat. It was that hand again. Next to his cold sick body, the hand felt like fire. He then heard the voice of another dragon urging him to give himself another day in the egg, a better chance of being born.

He felt eyes on him. People looking at and touching his egg. Once older, he understood why. His breed had changed, and it allowed him to live. Because of this, every now and then Infinite will follow his human friend who found and raised him to visit random caves and bite young, common eggs.
