Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Serena Kyle shares the duty of patrolling the borders of the clan's land with Bruce Wayne. The regular black male drives Serena crazy with his obsession on detail and his seriousness. She herself loves roaming the night skies feeling the wind beneath her wings and the thrill of the hunt when prey or enemy capture her attention. Bruce seems to enjoy nothing.

At least Serena thought that until she lured him away from his duty and his then mate and they chased and hunted each other through the night.

When Bruce captured her they mated and the result of that mating—Helena now patrols the borders of the lands with them. Strangely though this has not brought Serena and Bruce closer, they still avoid each other like the plague except when it's mating season.
