Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Nihilo Venii" is a title begrudgingly bestowed upon this dragon by his mother, meaning "I came from the Void". In truth, he comes from the Mother, but his twisted and destructive nature are owed to his sire. Under the guise of a powerful illusion, The First Shell came to the Mother and they begat an egg, which was promptly spirited away. Growing knowing only the deceit and two-faced nature of his father, he became a force for Darkness—not that his blood didn't already boil with the urge to sow chaos and entropy into the world.

His hatcher, however, is working to undo the damage done to this dragon's psyche and, with time, hopes to if not reform this dragon, then at least stifle his more destructive urges.
