Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It always seems to be picking over its scales.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Although this hatchling calls its home 'the Starry Hill', it is in fact a whole range of hills, stretching on as far as the eye can see, looking very calm and picturesque by day but being at its most beautiful at night. The hilltops are the perfect place for stargazing, which this hatchling loves to do. It sits there very quietly and cleans its scales until they reflect the stars, and considers itself more glamorous than any Nebula Dragon.
