It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Coming from a most ordinary background, this dragon was expected to have nothing more than an ordinary life--and yet he longed for so much more. Making a menial living hunting in the wild, occasionally serving as a beast of burden for humans when the food supply ran low, he still found time and energy despite his exhaustion to do what he loved best--soaring low through the trees, rebounding off the branches, displaying remarkable grace and agility for one of his background. It was during one such escapade that he caught the eye of the ringmaster of the Cirque de Pourpre, who promptly offered him a job as a trapeze act...
It was a dream come true, and still is, every day that passes. Spinning across the air, snagging just barely on to bars and swings, wings always clamped closed to increase his speed, he thrives on the attention of the audience and the thrill of the wind--and, even more so, on the attentions of his beloved wife, the circus's other trapeze artist!
