Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ski Lite insists on being called Kilit for he personally dislikes his actual name. He knows little of the place outside of Sun Mountain, the place where all Sunset and Sunrise dragons are banished to, due to a war many years ago. Most dragons, unless they have a mate, live by themselves in their homes due to not wanting to share their territory. The Sunrise and Sunset dragons on Sun Mountain are no different. Kilit, however, is different, and shares a cave with Sonnenunterganga—not that she knows, of course. Rejected by most dragons because of his terrifying name and sharp-looking appearance (and not to mention temper), Ski Lite is a judgemental and distrustful dragon that was often pushed away from others and is not even allowed to own his own cave. As such, he hides out in Sonnen's cave until she falls asleep and he can bathe in the sun's light again.
